Toy Storage

2013

The weekend I got an itch to organize this room. I headed over to Ikea to get something, anything, to organize this room.

Before

This hurts my brain.  Stuffed animals, weapons, action figures and capes were all mixed in together.  Ack! When Austin would ask me to help him find something I cried a little inside knowing I was going to be digging through a totally unorganized mess.

During
$5 bins from Ikea to the rescue. I'm not crazy about the white, but they were $5. Saving us a lot of money and they do the job perfectly.

After!

Ahhhhh. Can you feel the organization, the sanity? Let me say it again, aaaahhhhhhhh.

When Austin woke up he was super stoked about it. I walked him through where everything is at, which is totally logical. It goes: Hats, helmets, masks, costumes, costume accessories, gloves, guns, knives, etc. You get the picture? Oh! And on the bottom: Small stuffed animals, medium stuff animals, medium lar...OK I'll stop.

I really like how the top is cleared for him to put Lego creations on so he doesn't need to get on a step stool to get them off the shelf like they were displayed before. It all just works so well!
It's functional. Next up is cozy. I'll keep you posted.
