The Purge

There's nothing like moving to make you realize you've acquired too much stuff. I spent the weekend in Austin getting our house there ready to sell which, meant lots of purging. I want to take the momentum I have from getting one house ready to sell by adding in some organization and cleaning here in our current home.

My goals for this month are to:

Dust. This place is dusty! I don't like to dust and you can tell.

Purge: I'm going to limit myself to one area a day because if I don't I know I will spend day after day cleaning and purging until I am exhausted. I can get carried away with these sorts of things. I also know if I take a "knock it out" attitude I won't be mindful about what I am keeping and what I'm not.

Organize: As I go I'll try to find ways to make things the most accessible.

Minimize waste: If it can be recycled I'll recycle it. If I think someone will enjoy what I no longer want I'll offer it to them. I've never had a garage sale, so my plan is to have one at the end of this.  Whatever is left over I'll donate.
