Sushi And Candy
2013
Mom: "Anyone want to go eat Sushi tonight?"
Monty: "Sure!"
Austin: "No. Well, maybe. OK."
This perfectly illustrates how most conversations in the house go.
Austin's cup arrangement at the sushi joint around the corner.
One, two, three, four. I declare a thumb war.
"It taste like Recess Cups. Wait. No. It tastes like hay."
Remembering a time when Monty couldn't eat with both hands because he always had Austin smooshed up against one side.
While waiting for the check from dinner we decided to head over to the candy store before it closed.
There is always something new that catches my eye there. Tonight it was communist soda.
The candy store by our house has Willy Wonka playing every time we go in. They also play candy themed music. Tonight it was Sugar, Sugar by the Archies, which, was in the Bee Movie that we watched last night.
Austin had a stunning revelation while we were watching The Bee Movie: "I'm glad he didn't just accept he had to have the same job for the rest of his life. This would be a boring movie if he had." Deep, man. Probably deeper than he was intending his comment to be.
Think of the ways that can be applied to life, though! By staying on the path expected of us, we can end up ho-humming along not being mindful of our choices. But when we are mindful of the choices we make, go after our passions, our interests, follow our curiosity to see where it leads, a whole new world can open up just like it did for Barry Benson in The Bee Movie.

And that is a pretty deep thought to think about.
