Seeing The Bridge Again And Again

I love the Golden Gate Bridge. It's one of my most favorite landmarks in San Francisco. There is a magical feeling there for me- like when you walk through the gates of Disneyland. For years when people would visit us and want to see the bridge we'd take them up to the actual bridge. You get great views and all, but it's loud, hectic and usually really windy. I've recently discovered a quiet, less crowded place where you can still get wonderful views of the bridge, but without all the people and cars and parking and hassle.
Now if I could find a way to get there that doesn't involve going through the city...
