Pumpkin Patch

2010

Austin and I have never been to a real pumpkin patch. We've seen the ones that pop up around this time in parking lots and churches but never one where the pumpkins are actually growing still. A friend of ours recommended we try one so we did. Another first for the day was our first trip down the coast on California Highway 1, so it was well worth it.

First things first: you need a wheelbarrow.

To pick which pumpkin you want.

And there are many to choose from in many shapes and sizes.

Even teeny tiny ones that fit in the palm of your hand.

We picked our pumpkin and left feeling very victorious about our selection.

On our drive back we were starving from all the heavy lifting and stopped at this Taco Bell.  That's right people, this is a Taco Bell.  You can enjoy a bean burrito and a Pepsi while sitting on the beach watching the tide roll in.  It was a great day!
