Eleven years ago Austin came into the world. He was 9 weeks early and with significant health problems. Time slowed down. Moment by moment. Minute by minute. Hour by hour. Eventually we started measuring time by days and weeks again and then we came home.
There was some talk at times about not making it, but he did. He's strong. He's amazing and funny and so full of life and personality that it touches and inspires people around him to laugh and play. His presence is known when he walks into a room.
Today he turned eleven.
