Brussel Sprouts

Except for the ones I shared with the dogs who came running when I took the lid off the pan.
As far back as I can remember, whenever we ask my dad what is for dinner he'd robustly reply, "Brussel sprouts and beans!!" I don't remember this meal ever being served, but I do remember being terrified that he was serious.
I've never made brussel sprouts. I've had them in a few restaurants over the past year, but never really liked them. I keep hearing talk of how awesome they were, so I keep trying- wanting to have the same experience with them.
I saw a bag of brussel sprouts at Trader Joe's this week and picked it up to try to cook myself. Maybe they just needed my special touch to be awesome. I went with the naked approach and just did lemon, garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper.
Oh, my holy-little- green-cabbage! They were sooo freaking good! I ate the whole bowl in one sitting.
They were so delicious it didn't seem fair not to share with my furry friends.
