We're back in Austin now. In our beautiful sweet home I missed so much. And Austin is ten today.

To celebrate we invited All Around Austin Exotic Pets (the best exotic pet store in town if you ask me!) to come over and give a presentation.

The kids were a little stand offish at first. Not sure if they wanted to get close...

 until the animals came out and everyone leaped to the front to get a good look.

What could captivate a room full of 8-10 year old boys (and girl) so well?

Sad chinchillas,

Two different kind of scorpions. The exotic and the local kind. *

 rouge, baby, spotted leopard geckos running loose on the children.

teenie, tiny, baby sulcata tortoises and...

crazy, cool chameleons. If you looked really hard you could actually see him change colors!

Every ones favorite (well, OK mostly my favorite!) were the bearded dragons Chester and Maria. 

Monty even added some exotic pet flair to the birthday cake.
